(9/22/03, 5 p.m. ET) -- Bon Jovi vocalist Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Richie Sambora, and businessman Craig Spencer are among the owners of the newest Arena Football League (AFL) franchise--the Philadelphia Soul. They will all be on hand at a press conference/launch party at the Wachovia Spectrum in Philadelphia on Tuesday (September 23) at 5 p.m. ET to formally welcome the team to the City Of Brotherly Love. The owners will be joined by Pennsylvania Governor Edward Rendell, Sambora's wife Heather Locklear, AFL Commissioner David Baker, and head coach Michael Trigg.
The Philadelphia Soul's first game will be played on the weekend of February 6 through 8. The official AFL schedule will be released in early October.
Fans who buy season tickets for four or more will get invitations to a private Philadelphia Soul pep rally featuring a live performance by Bon Jovi. The pep rally will take place around the time of the early February home opener.
Meanwhile, Bon Jovi will release a greatest hits album on November 4 titled This Left Feels Right. The set will only feature acoustic versions of their biggest hits, as well as two new studio tracks.
