(10/24/03, 12 p.m. ET) -- Godsmack's acoustic E.P., the Other Side, has been delayed from a November release to mid-2004, a management spokesperson confirmed to LAUNCH. The release was delayed in order to continue promotional efforts for the band's third full-length album, Faceless, which came out earlier this year. There's no specific release date yet for the Other Side.
The band has apparently been rethinking the release plans for the Other Side for some time. In an interview with ChartAttack.com, Godsmack drummer Shannon Larkin said that "Basically we went to Hawaii for 17 days for a vacation and did a record for the hell of it... we're not sure how we're going to approach this yet."
The Other Side is slated to feature acoustic versions of four previously released tunes, including their current hit "Serenity," as well as four new songs.
The band wraps up their current North American tour on November 28 with a hometown show in Boston, before joining Metallica on a European tour in December.
