(11/30/00, 3 p.m. ET) - Deceased rapper Big Pun's second posthumous album, Endangered Species, will be released on February 6, a day before the one-year anniversary of his death. Big Pun died from a heart attack and respiratory failure on February 7 this year. Endangered Species will feature new songs mixed with previously released material from Pun's two earlier albums, Capital Punishment and Yeeeah Baby. In addition, several of Pun's guest appearances on other projects will be included.
"How We Roll," a new song produced by Rashaad, will be the first single from the new Big Pun album. Some of the other new songs on Endangered Species include: "Loco Bananas" featuring Tony Sunshine, "Brave In The Heart" featuring the Terror Squad, "Mama," and "Wishful Thinking." Fat Joe, who discovered Pun, wrote the liner notes for Endangered Species, which will also include photos from Pun's personal collection.
