Van Dyk, Crystal Method Lead DanceStar Nominations

Paul Van Dyk and the Crystal Method
lead the field with five nominations for DanceStar USA -- the
American Dance Music Awards.
The honors will be presented March 9 in Miami. Van Dyk is
up for best international DJ, best album ("Reflections," Mute)
and best use of music in a commercial. The Crystal Method
earned nods for best album ("Legion of Boom," V2), best act and
best single.
Moby will receive the outstanding contribution to dance
music award.
"I am proud and honored to be accorded this recognition by
DanceStar and the electronic music industry in America," he
says. "I understand this is the most prestigious award at the
annual event and that means a lot to me."
A number of acts not immediately associated with dance
music were nominated for awards. OutKast's "Speakerboxxx/The
Love Below" is up for best album, while its single "Hey Ya!" is
up for best single. P. Diddy, Justin Timberlake , Britney Spears
and Christina Aguilera are among the artists nominated for best
chart act.

Dirty Vegas dominated last year's awards, with its track
"Days Go By" winning record of the year, best video and best
use of music in a commercial.
