Maroon 5 Snags Three Brit Award Nominations

Maroon 5 has been nominated for three Brit Awards, the U.K. equivalent of the Grammys, according to NME.com. The band has landed nods for Best International Group, Best International Album, and Best International Breakthrough Act. Meanwhile, New York-based lineup Scissor Sisters scored three nominations, while U2, Gwen Stefani, OutKast, Jamie Cullum, Jet, Joss Stone, and the Killers all picked up nominations as well.
The Brits, which are celebrating their twenty-fifth anniversary, will be given out on February 9 at Earl's Court in London. Franz Ferdinand, who led the pack with five nominations, U2, and the Scissor Sisters will all perform at the event.
