The fourth season of American Idol begins its fourth season Tuesday (January 18) at 8 p.m. ET on FOX-TV. The two-hour episode focuses on auditions that took place in Washington, D.C., with the second part of the season premiere airing Wednesday (January 19) night.
Last year's runner-up, 16-year-old Diana DeGarmo, who recently released her debut solo album, has some advice for this year's crop of wanna-be American Idols. She told LAUNCH that having a good time is a key part of being successful on the show: "To the next American Idol candidates, I would definitely say--have fun, 'cause that is the very first and most important thing to the show. Because if you're having fun and you audience is having fun and the people watching are having fun, then they are going to vote for you obviously."
Ryan Seacrest, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson are all back, and guest judges, including L.L. Cool J., Brandy, and Mark McGrath will also be featured on the series.
