Usher And Ciara Lead Soul Train Nominees With Four Nods Each

R&B singer Usher, who has been on quite a run since releasing his Confessions album last March, was matched by newcomer Ciara when the nominees for the 19th Annual Soul Train Awards, were announced Tuesday (February 1). Both artists received four nominations.
Usher's "Yeah!" featuring Ludacris and Lil Jon was nominated for Best R&B/Soul Or Rap Dance Cut and the Michael Jackson Award for Best Music Video. The singer's "Confessions Pt. 2" was nominated for Best R&B/Soul Single - Male, while his album Confessions was nominated for Best R&B/Soul Album Male.
Ciara's debut album, Goodies, which was released in September, was nominated for Best R&B/Soul Album Female. The singer's debut single, "Goodies" featuring Petey Pablo, was nominated for Best R&B/Soul Single - Female and Best R&B/Soul Or Rap Dance Cut. Ciara was also nominated in the Best New Artist category.
The show will be taped at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles on February 28 and will air at a later date.
