Brad Paisley opts to "Play" more, sing less

Country superstar Brad Paisley is putting the focus back on his guitar skills with "Play," a mostly instrumental album due November 4.

Among the guests on the 15-track Arista Nashville collection are B.B. King, Keith Urban, Vince Gill, Albert Lee, James Burton and the late Buck Owens. Only four of the tracks feature vocals, including the King-enhanced "Let the Good Times Roll" and the Urban-featuring "Start a Band."

"Come on In" was written and recorded by Owens but was not completed before his 2006 death. Elsewhere, Paisley salutes Les Paul on "Les Is More," jams with seven guitarists (including Gill, Lee and Burton) on "Cluster Pluck" and takes a gospel turn with the traditional "What a Friend We Have in Jesus."

Paisley is in the midst of a summer tour that hits St. Paul, Minnesota, on Friday (August 22).
