Britney Spears' papa is on the payroll. According to documents from Wednesday's impromptu court hearing, Jamie Spears will now be paid a weekly compensation of $2,500 from his daughter's estate for acting as her conservator. He has also been authorized to lease a car on the estate's dime. (View the court minute order.) Before taking charge of his daughter's estate, Jamie Spears most recently worked as a caterer. Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz ordered the payments in documents signed Wednesday but released by the court on Thursday. The court docs do not make it clear what the money and car are to be used for. Jamie Spears' control over his daughter's affairs was extended Wednesday through July 31. Prior to the hearing, his temporary conservatorship had been scheduled to expire on Monday. In addition to setting up Papa Spears' compensation package, Goetz ordered the troubled pop star's estate to make a $58,800 payment to her court-appointed attorney, Samuel D. Ingham III, who represents her in the conservatorship case. Goetz also gave Spears' psychiatrist the go-ahead to hire two additional doctors and pay them a $9,000 retainer from the estate. On Monday, lawyers for Spears and Federline are due back in court to hash out the latest issues in the ex-couple's child custody case. A hearing in the conservatorship case also remains on the docket for Monday, despite Wednesday's events. As part of a deal hammered out between by her conservatorship lawyers and Kevin Federline's legal eagle, Mark Vincent Kaplan, Spears has recently been permitted occasional visits with her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. However, she is still not allowed to spend time with the boys without supervision.
