With Peter Murphy out sick for much of the recording, Burning From The Inside is a far more diverse Bauhaus album. Vocal duties were handled by Murphy as well as Ash and David J, and there's more danceable tunes courtesy of Ash. In fact, "Slice Of Life" sounds like it could have come from a Love & Rockets record.
