Hot Stuff Review
07/13/2005 4:16 AM, AMG
Hot Stuff is an entertaining but rather useless compilation of ten random highlights from Creedence Clearwater Revival's career, pulling both singles and album tracks. A couple of choices may be a little suspect, but several of John Fogerty's best songs -- "Born on the Bayou," "Bootleg," "Bad Moon Rising," "Wrote a Song for Everyone" -- are here, even if there's no rhyme or reason to the collection. Chronicle is better for casual fans, and the actual albums are necessary for diehards, but Hot Stuff remains an entertaining sampler nonetheless. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
