An overlooked late-'70s Southern soul gem from Luther Ingram. He didn't make any attempt to soften or dilute his raw, country and blues-tinged delivery and style. That resulted in the album not getting widespread attention, but it did get Ingram a pair of Top 40 R&B hits and did much better than a lot of other Southern soul issued at the same time. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
