Culled primarily from their first two albums produced by Al Kooper ("Free Bird," "Sweet Home Alabama," "Gimme Three Steps," "Saturday Night Special," "Swamp Music," "I Ain't the One"), this makes an excellent introduction to one many consider the finest of all the Southern rock bands of the '70s.
