Another album, another flop and the members of Saxon decided to make another return to more commercial territory. Destiny is typical late 80's sleek pop metal of the lowest quality. Opening with a cover of Christopher Cross' "Ride Like the Wind" was surprising at best, and the album's only decent offering, "Where The Lightning Strikes" follows as track number two. Brave souls might want to continue beyond this point, but only the strongest will survive the atrocious, Titanic-based "S.O.S." ~ Ed Rivadavia, All Music Guide
