Billboard Top Hits: 1983 Review
07/13/2005 5:35 AM, AMG
This entry into Billboard's continuing series reveals 1983 to be a year of one-hit wonders -- Michael Sembello ("Maniac"), the Greg Kihn Band ("Jeopardy"), Eddy Grant ("Electric Avenue"), and Spandau Ballet ("True") are among the many who failed to recapture their chart success in the years to follow. Among the other selections: Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart," Culture Club's "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?" and Men at Work's "Down Under." ~ Chuck Donkers, All Music Guide
