Kelly Clarkson's New Album 'Thankful' Out Tuesday

(4/14/03, 10 a.m. ET) -- First American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson will release her RCA Records/19 Entertainment debut album, Thankful, on Tuesday (April 15). The first single from the set is "Miss Independent." In addition, American Idol finalist Tamyra Grey joins Clarkson on the album for a soaring duet titled "You Thought Wrong," which they co-wrote.
Cranky American Idol judge Simon Cowell is already predicting that the album will be a huge success. "The whole purpose of American Idol was simply to find a superstar recording artist," Cowell said. "Kelly Clarkson exceeded our expectations. The album showcases what an amazing voice she has and will be a massive seller for her."
The complete tracklist includes "The Trouble With Love Is," "Miss Independent," "Low," "Some Kind Of Miracle," "What's Up Lonely," "Just Missed The Train," "Beautiful Disaster," "You Thought Wrong," "Thankful," and "Anytime."
Thankful will also feature two bonus tracks--new mixes of the singer's hits, "A Moment Like This" and "Before Your Love."
Clarkson will perform live on Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday (April 12).
Clarkson's other upcoming television performances include NBC's The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Monday (April 14), ABC's Good Morning America on Thursday (April 17), ABC's The View on Friday (April 18), and CBS's The Late Late Show With Craig Kilborn on April 21.
