(2/3/03, 6 p.m. ET) -- JC Chasez will soon be the second member of *NSYNC to launch a solo career. Chasez is currently putting the finishing touches on his as-yet-untitled solo debut album, which is scheduled for release in July via Jive Records.
Chasez has been recording with Grammy Award-winning producer Dallas Austin (Madonna), as well as BT (*NSYNC), Riprock 'n' Alex G (Christina Aguilera), and Rodney Jerkins (Britney Spears).
Chasez already has a hit on his hands with a recently released single, "Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love)," which is included on the soundtrack to the Twentieth Century Fox movie Drumline.
Chasez is closely following in the footsteps of his *NSYNC groupmate Justin Timberlake, who released his solo debut album via Jive on November 5.
Timberlake told LAUNCH that when *NSYNC eventually regroups after Chasez's solo project, the individual members will have plenty of fresh ideas to work with. "I know for a fact when we come back to make another *NSYNC record, everybody's gonna have these incredible ideas," Timberlake said. "I think the challenge is going to be trying to get all of them into the music, and trying to get a certain kind of focus on a certain sound. I think we'll rise to the challenge. I think, you know, we work so well together, you know, being friends, it just makes a difference--it just makes a difference when you're in the studio together."
