Ja Rule Stars With Steven Seagal In 'Half Past Dead'

(9/16/02, 12 p.m. ET) -- Ja Rule will appear in the movie Half Past Dead with Steven Seagal, slated to hit theaters in November. In addition to his music career, Ja Rule has also written screenplays for Shades Of Color, and sci-fi trilogy called The Chronicles of Riddick.
Ja Rule has discussed the projects with actor Vin Diesel. "We haven't seen the scripts and stuff yet, but we should be getting 'em real soon...And me and Vin have been talking, so you know it should be real hot."
Ja recently turned down an offer to co-star in the sequel to The Fast And The Furious 2 saying, "I'm really trying to do this acting thing very seriously...And you know, sometimes every move is not the right move."
In other Ja news, lookout for a collaboration with Nas on the soundtrack for the sequel to Bad Boys 2, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Rule says, "We're gearing up to do some things. He's part of Murder Inc...He's my man, and we cool and everything's love. So y'all gonna be seeing a lot from us in the future."
A spokesperson for Irv Gotti tells LAUNCH that Nas isn't signed to Murder Inc., but Gotti is producing some tracks for the rapper's forthcoming God's Son album.
Meanwhile, Ja Rule will be releasing his next studio album titled The Last Temptation in November.
