Beyonce’s Pregnancy Deludes Her Into Thinking She Should Start a Boy Band

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are both famously private people. They're so loath to talk about their private lives, they barely admitted they were dating and delayed confirming their marriage as long as possible. But since the couple's very public announcement that they're expecting a baby -- B revealed it on the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet, then suggestively rubbed her belly and grinned like a cheeseball onstage while Jay-Z hopped up and down next to an equally elated Kanye West -- she's been willing to open up a little bit more. When sharing details about her private life helps sell her perfume, that is.

But before we get to the nitty gritty of what makes Beyoncé nauseous (hint: not her new fragrance, Pulse), check out this quote from a new AP interview: "I want to create a boy band."

That has to be the pregnancy hormones talking, right? Who wants to create a boy band in 2011 who is not named Diddy? And isn't Beyoncé all about female empowerment at the moment? (The answer is yes, she spends a good chunk of this interview chatting about just that: "I see so many male artists building these empires and passing their knowledge on to other artists and development. I see myself doing the same thing.")

Beyoncé also mentioned, "I am starting my company, my label." Was she referring to a record label or an extension of her House of Deréon clothing label? Seems like she was talking about music because the boy band line came next, followed by, "I want to continue to produce and do documentaries and music videos. I eventually want to start directing for other artists."

It's amazing what B will reveal while pimping her perfume, right? And for the record, food smells, especially onions, make her nauseous.
