With just one month to go before the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, the preliminary list of performers has been officially announced: Eminem, Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire, Katy Perry, Cee Lo Green and Miranda Lambert. Eminem received 10 nominations so his presence was a given, and the same goes for Cee Lo because people still can't get enough of "F---/Forget You" after a million listens. Perry's colorful performances are an awards show staple, so the only semi-surprises here are Arcade Fire and Miranda Lambert, both of whom will make their Grammy stage debut.

Following Lady Gaga's amazing performance with Elton John at last year's Grammys (The Amp's Number Two Awards Show Performance of 2010), many fans were clued into her inevitable Grammy performance this year when she revealed on her Twitter on New Year's Eve that "Born This Way," the first single off the album of the same name, would debut on February 13th, which also happens to be Grammy night. Gaga will showcase her newest hit on the Staples Center stage for the first time, then the track will undoubtedly become available on iTunes later in the evening while everyone is still talking and tweeting about what is guaranteed to be a surefire water cooler performance. And that's how you sell records in 2011.

More performers will be announced as we move closer to February 13th, but we wouldn't be surprised if a Best New Artist nominee (either Drake or Justin Bieber) and some zeitgeist favorite (the "Glee" cast, probably) are recruited in the coming weeks. And so far: no Britney.
