Complex editor Noah Callahan-Bever flew down to Kanye West's secret Hawaiian hideaway during the recording of "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" and turned his fancy-French-toast-eating, pick-up-basketball-playing time at Rap Camp into a fascinating cover story that explores West's creative process. Despite the glut of 'Ye coverage this week, we managed to glean five new pieces of intel:

A Kanye West/Jay-Z/Jack White Collaboration Exists and Will Blow Up the Internet One Day
The "still-never-released song" hasn't leaked -- yet.

Thou Shalt Obey Kanye's Rules
"Kanye Commandments" -- which were taped to the studio wall -- ranged from the obvious ("No Tweeting," "No Pictures") to the fashionable ("No Hipster Hats") to the instructional ("Just Shut the F--- Up Sometimes").

Kanye's Studio Was Rated X
Nicki Minaj "figured that he was one of those conscious rappers" so she didn't want to dress too sexy for her sessions with 'Ye. She figured wrong: "I go to the studio and he has nothing but pictures of naked women on his computer that he'd invite me to look at. ... He was watching porn when we were in the studio -- no shame in his game." (West classed up the joint a little with Maya Angelou's works.)

West Had Crazy Eyes in "Run This Town"
Conspiracy theorists claim Jay-Z's "Run This Town" video offers clues about the rapper's alleged ties to the occult, but Kanye says there is actually a secret embedded in the clip: "Really look in my eyes in the 'Run This Town' video. If you do, you can't tell me you're surprised by what happened. It was all there in my eyes." One week after the video shoot, he stormed the stage at the VMAs.

Kanye Will Not Call it a Comeback
In the studio, West brainstorms lyrics by polling the room for ideas. Most of his rejections sound like this -- "That's really not at all a word I would ever say, but don't stop offering ideas, thanks!" -- but he called one suggestion "great -- if my name was LL and I was making 'Mama Said Knock You Out Pt. II.' "
