Glastonbury Wins the Battle of Best Summer Festival Lineup

View photo

We already knew U2, Beyoncé, and Coldplay were headlining this year's Glastonbury Festival, but organizers revealed the rest of their mammoth lineup today, and Glastonbury more than lives up to its billing as the best music fest on Earth. The fest's Other Stage alone is a candidate for one of the greatest lineups -- Primal Scream, Chemical Brothers, Queens of the Stone Age, Fleet Foxes, Mumford & Sons, TV on the Radio, and Bright Eyes, to name some -- but keep in mind this is the fest's secondary stage. The main Pyramid Stage features Elbow, Morrissey, BB King, Paul Simon, and Wu-Tang Clan! The Wu and Paul Simon, we've had dreams about these kinds of bills. (The Amp previously called the Glasto headliners the "tamest" in its history; in retrospect, we apologize.)

Elsewhere on Glastonbury's dozen-plus stages, you'll find Big Boi, Janelle Monáe, Cee Lo Green, Big Audio Dynamite, Lykke Li, Jimmy Cliff, James Blake, Ke$ha, A Band of Bees, DJ Shadow, Jamie Woon, and countless more. Also, Kool and the Gang will be there! We'd keep going but our fingers are starting to hurt from typing out all this talent. Check out the complete Glastonbury lineup at the fest's official site. Lollapalooza will be hard-pressed to top this list as the summer's best.

(Side note: There's a "Robin" on the lineup, which we think is probably Robyn, so add that to the awesomeness maybe.)
