Hear T.I.’s First Post-Prison Track: ‘Flexin” With Big K.R.I.T.

The recently freed T.I. took a time out from his arduous schedule of authoring novels and filming reality shows to release his first new track since he went behind bars 11 months ago. The song is called "I'm Flexin'," and it features one of hip-hop's best up-and-comers, Big K.R.I.T., who also happened to be on The Amp's list of must-hear hip-hop albums T.I. missed while he was in prison.

Since T.I. (probably) laid down his verses back in 2010 before he went to jail for violating his probation, the song doesn't reflect the rapper's present situation, but he does make it clear he's focused on reclaiming his title of the King of Southern Rap. (Parts of the song leaked while Tip was still in prison, so do the math.) Also, it's stronger than anything on last year's No Mercy, but you can likely thank K.R.I.T.'s involvement for that:

In addition to "Flexin'," Tip also marked his release from prison by performing at the BET Hip-Hop Awards this weekend in Atlanta. T.I. and Young Jeezy opened the ceremony, which will air tomorrow night on BET. He also sat down with Atlanta's V-103 for his first post-prison interview (via Nah Right):
