Our math may be a little fuzzy, but Katy Perry has five singles that have sold more than 4 million copies each now that "E.T." has crossed the four-times-platinum mark like "Firework," "California Gurls," "Hot N Cold," and "I Kissed a Girl" did. An impressive feat? Definitely, especially because she was the only artist with four singles above the 4-million threshold in the first place.

What's more, Billboard reports that if "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" can inch up from Number Four to Number One on the Hot 100, Perry will have earned five Number One hits from Teenage Dream ("Teenage Dream," "California Gurls," "Firework," and "E.T."). The last person to claim five Number Ones from a single album was Michael Jackson, from 1987's Bad. The last woman to do it was ... nobody! She'd be the first! And Rebecca Black would be tangentially involved, since she stars in the video for "Last Friday Night." This is all sorts of amusing.

These numbers are really quite astonishing. Madonna, Mariah, Whitney, Britney, Gaga, Taylor -- none of them has turned out five Number One tracks from a single album yet. Would you have bet the woman to break through this barrier would be the one known for her whipped cream bra (as opposed to a cone bra and/or machine gun bra)? There's got to be a lesson about catching more flies with honey or something in this.
