Anyone who thinks Twitter is the death of rock criticism was clearly not a frequent viewer of MTV's '90s animated show "Beavis and Butt-head," where "bunghole" and sinister cackles passed as measured judgment. Thankfully, young'uns like fan Justin Bieber will get the chance to experience the genius of Beavis for themselves -- the show is returning this summer, once again helmed by Mike Judge. While we're not sure which uh, music videos will be running on the show (which airs of course on the new MTV, where music is expressly not included in the logo), we'd be happy to hear Butt-head analyze Lady Gaga's "Telephone" video immediately. Relive some of their most scintillating commentary:
Radiohead's "Creep" "It better start rocking or I'll really give him something to cry about."
Nirvana's "Heart-Shaped Box" "I have this dream, that I'm like, Santa Claus, and I'm like, on a cross, and ther are these crows picking at me."
Men Without Hat's "Safety Dance" "This butthole keeps saying he can dance, but it's like, he can't dance."
