Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa's "Black and Yellow" has become somewhat of an anthem and radio hit during the Steelers' road to Super Bowl XLV, and led dozens of sports fans across the nation to remake the two-color-scheme song
for their own favorite teams. Perhaps unsatisfied merely by Butch Vig's Green Bay Packers anthem "Go Pack Go!,"
Lil Wayne, who is somehow a Cheesehead fan, has taken Khalifa's rival anthem and transformed it into his own Packers freestyle dubbed "Green and Yellow." With only three days until the Big Game, it's unlikely Weezy's version will gain the same following as Khalifa's -- the explicit lyrics don't help; "We gonna toast the n-----, Pop Tarts," Wayne raps -- but you can get prep for Super Sunday with "Green and Yellow" over at Weezy Thanx You
Before you start accusing Wayne of jumping on the Packers' bandwagon in light of another Super Bowl appearance, let us remind you that Wayne has long professed his love of Vince Lombardi's team. "As a Packer fan, it's been pretty good so far. [Quarterback] Aaron Rodgers has been wonderful, man. He's handled everything, and way more than just the football part," Wayne wrote back in September 2008 for his first ESPN blog post, when Rodgers had taken over for Brett Favre. So Wayne's not exactly front-running.
