Aside from Dave Grohl's role in one of the greatest bands ever in the history of everything (that American Idol happened to desecrate this week), he loves to dress in drag and has excellent taste in Prince songs. We adore him. And today, he gave us three more reasons to lavish him with love and praise:
1) He Hates Glee
"It's every band's right, you shouldn't have to do f------ Glee," Grohl told the Hollywood Reporter. "And then the guy who created Glee [Ryan Murphy] is so offended that we're not, like, begging to be on his f------ show... f--- that guy for thinking anybody and everybody should want to do Glee. Slash was the first one. He wanted to do Guns N' Roses and Slash is like, 'I hate f------ musicals. It's worse than "Grease." ' Then [Murphy's] like, 'Well, of course he'd say that, he's a washed up ol' rock star, that's what they f------ do.' And then Kings of Leon say, 'No, we don't want to be on your show.' And then he's like, 'Snotty little assholes...' And it's just like, dude, maybe not everyone loves Glee. Me included."
2) He Called the Foo Fighters' Film "The 'Dumb & Dumber' of Rock Docs"
"I like the rock documentaries that make it seem real," Grohl told the Hollywood Reporter after the SXSW premiere of "Foo Fighters: Back and Forth." "The ones that I like are the ones where the Dandy Warhols wind up with a restraining order." (He's referring to "Dig," which he called " 'The Deer Hunter' of rock documentaries.")
3) His Band Is Going to Play in Fans' Garages
Because Foo Fighters recorded their April 12th album Wasting Light in Grohl's garage, the band is going to rock fans' garages in eight cities. To enter, describe why you and 50 friends deserve this intimate performance -- and, very importantly, submit a photo of your garage -- via this website.
