New York Fashion Week isn't just about showcasing next year's clothing lines -- it's also a time to wrangle nearly 30 supermodels and make them lip-dub 2009's biggest hip-hop song. A bunch of very attractive women spent their breaks between runway walks touring some of Manhattan's most iconic spots while pretending to rap Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' "Empire State of Mind." They do a better job modeling clothes than miming Jigga -- the only one who seems to have a handle on the rhymes is Selita Ebanks, but that's probably because she was (maybe) dating the other half of the Throne. Still, this is without a doubt the greatest lip-dub ever committed to video.
Here are the models involved, according to Jay-Z's Life + Times: Selita Ebanks, Karlie Kloss, Constance Jablonski, Jourdan Dunn, Daphne Groeneveld, Edita Vilkeviciute, Hailey Clauson, Josephine Skriver, Zuzanna Bijoch, Shu Pei, Kristina Salinovic, Martha Streck, Toni Garrn, R'el Dade, Andi Muise, Ataui Deng, Chantal Stafford-Abbot, Kelsey Rogers, Ashton Phillips, Fabiana Mayer, Sabrina Nait, Sydney Edmonds, Claire Collins, Brenda Mutoni, Naoumie Ekiko, Sonia Niekrasz, Paris, Kaitlin, Lina, & Tian.
