Watch Chiddy Bang’s Attempt to Freestyle for Nine Hours

View photo

Right at this very moment, Chiddy Bang's Chidera "Chiddy" Anamege is somewhere in Las Vegas, sitting on a white couch, sipping water, checking his BlackBerry, and trying to break the Guinness World Record for "Longest Freestyle Rap." As of press time, he's one hour and 15 minutes into his quest and has a long, long way to go -- the current record, held by Indianapolis MC M-Eighty, is nine hours, 15 minutes, and 15 seconds. If you want to try to control his nonstop flow of nonsense, feel free to tweet suggested topics with the hash tag #RapWorldRecord.

Chiddy's exhausting attempt is part of MTV's O Music Awards (watch him on the show's official site), and the network seems to have relaxed its no-profanity rules for the occasion -- either that, or Chiddy has gone rogue, dropping f-bombs like it's totally cool now. Over his first hour of perpetual MC-ing, we heard him list off the names of almost all the ivy league colleges, boast about his sexual prowess, and apologize to his folks for dropping rhymes about weed. Here's a sampling of where he's been:

"Yo, man, I'm like the Slush Puppies, went to Catholic school and rocked the Hush Puppies."
"I need some new topics, please."
"Had to damn cough, I'm the man, though."
"I don't care though, it's no hassle, I'm about to smoke and go to White Castle."
"They said talk about being Nigerian, so I'm going to do that s---."

Seriously, we highly recommend you click over and check out Chiddy's pretty impressive feat. At the one-hour mark he already looked drained, so we can only imagine how deliriously hysterical the Philly rapper's flow is going to be by hour seven. The rest of the O Music Awards air online at 8 p.m. PT/11 p.m. ET tonight.
