Broadway, get ready to brood.
"Jagged Little Pill," the iconic decade-defining 1995 album from singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette, is headed to Broadway as a rock musical.
The musical, also called "Jagged Little Pill," will have orchestrations and arrangements by by two-time Tony Award winner Tom Kitt and will debut as a workshop production sometime in 2014. However, there's no timeline yet on when it will make its move to the Great White Way.
"Jagged Little Pill" the musical will feature the full song list from the original album, as well as tracks from the rest of Alanis's body of work and some new, original songs that she'll compose specifically for the stage production.
"I look forward to taking the heart of 'Jagged Little Pill' and expanding its story, fleshing it out into ever deeper layers of emotionality, specificity, humanity, power, physicality, spirit and fabulism," shared Morissette, 39. "I look forward to collaborating with Vivek [J. Tiwary, producer] and Tom and our whole inspiring team to create something greater than the sum of our parts."
Katy Perry once kissed a girl (and she liked it), but did she almost kiss Mick Jagger too?
Making the press rounds to promote her new album "Prism," Perry told Australian radio DJs Ash, Kip & Luttsy on Nova FM 106.9 that during her backup singer days, the Rolling Stones singer once hit on her. Oh, and when it happened, she was only 18!
With Katy being 29 now, and Mick being 70, it would've been a 59-year-old rock star hitting on a girl just out of high school. Then or now, that's a 41-year age difference.
As Katy explained in the interview, she was singing vocals on "Old Habits Die Hard," a Jagger song with Eurythmics star Dave Stewart for the soundtrack to Jude Law's 2004 remake of the film "Alfie," when they met.
"I actually went to dinner with him one time and he hit on me, when I was 18," she said. "That was a long time ago, and he's been very kind, and I got to sing 'Beast of Burden' with him on stage on The Rolling Stones tour."
Britney wants to show us her different sides, and today she got fans very excited by starting with her topless torso.
Ms. Spears debuted the cover art for her highly anticipated new album Britney Jean , on Friday, through a tweet to her fans. The tweet also contained a bit.ly link, leading to a longer message posted to her website.
Katy Perry and Sara Bareilles Bury the Never-Existent Hatchet at the Hollywood Bowl, Belting Out 'Roar' Together
If there was any question as to whether or not there was residual tension between Katy Perry and Sara Bareilles over their very similar sounding singles, it was all put to rest Wednesday night at the Hollywood Bowl.
For the Radio.com #WeCanSurvive cancer benefit at the Hollywood Bowl, Katy brought Sara out on stage to sing "Roar," alongside the night's other headliners: Ellie Goulding, Tegan & Sara, Kacey Musgraves, and Bonnie McKee. Earlier in the evening, Sara closed her set by singing "Brave."
When "Roar," Katy's lead single from new album "Prism," came out in August, many pointed out that it sounded oddly similar to "Brave," Sara's lead single that came out in April from her album "The Blessed Unrest." The comparison spawned a number of online parody comparisons (this one was always our favorite).

It's the rumor that sent the Internet into a tailspin this week: Will 'N Sync be reuniting for a performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards?
Unfortunately, the world still doesn't know if it's true or not. So, how did it get started?
Well, it all began with an item on Tuesday in the New York Post's Page Six. "Justin Timberlake and his former 'N Sync band members are set to reunite for a special performance on the VMAs Sunday night at the Barclays Center," the gossip site wrote. "But we're told former bandmates J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick are scheduled to join him onstage for a reunion performance."
The site pointed out that the band was all together in Miami last Friday to catch former band member Justin Timberlake's concert with Jay Z.
There's no doubt that he's got "The Right Stuff," but band member Jonathan Knight seemed a bit nervous during last night's New Kids on the Block concert in New York City.
The show, an iHeartRadio event that live-streamed on Yahoo! Music, was a huge promotional stop for the band, which had just released its new album, "10," on Tuesday. But halfway through the performance, Knight walked offstage and didn't return, despite encouragement from his band mates and a ton of support from the crowd (consisting mostly of middle-aged women).
You can see Knight starting to get a bit anxious at the 26-minute mark in this YouTube video. "Jordan, pull your brother in," Danny Wood says at 26:20. At 26:47, Knight laughs when he's about to sing a line from the band's new ballad, "Survive You." "He gets very emotional," Joey McIntyre says next. At 27:30, Knight seems to be so embarrassed that he leaves the stage after not being able to begin his verse.
Beyoncé teased fans Wednesday with a short, six-second YouTube video preparing fans for a big announcement coming Thursday morning. Well, the payoff is here: A new Pepsi ad featuring the star’s new single, which will be available very soon.
Beyoncé turned to YouTube yet again to post her new, one-minute Pepsi ad titled “Mirrors,” which features her looking back at several of her previous looks while in a dance-studio full of — you guessed it — mirrors. Pepsi confirms to omg! that the music featured in the clip is a new Beyoncé song called “Grown Woman.” Billboard reports that the song is a new Timbaland-produced track from Bey’s new album, but isn’t the first official single.

Queen Bey begins the video solo in a rehearsal room, but, when she reaches for a Pepsi, she begins seeing images from her old music videos in the reflections. First she confronts her look from “Bootylicious” as 2001 Beyoncé and 2013 Beyoncé cock their heads at each other and smile.
Anastacia, who broke through in 1999 with the song “I’m Outta Love,” has canceled her latest tour in Europe due to her second diagnosis with breast cancer.
In a statement posted to the singer’s Facebook page and her personal website, she spoke to her fans about how disappointed she was to let them down. "I feel so awful to be letting down all my amazing fans who were looking forward to 'It's A Man's World Tour'. It just breaks my heart to disappoint them," she said. The statement adds that all performances, tours and travel have been cancelled until further notice, and that all tickets can be refunded from the point of purchase. The tour was slated to have begun on April 6.
“Now more then ever, she is determined to live by her motto “Don't ever let cancer get the 'Best of You!'” the statement added, invoking the title of her cover version of the inspirational Foo Fighters track, from her latest album.
