Florida may not be the first place that comes to mind when one considers southern living, country music, and farming lifestyles. However, native son Easton Corbin is quick to point out that his Sunshine State goes far beyond Miami and Orlando.
" I think a lot of people when they think of Florida, they think of palm trees and beaches; or Miami, you know that whole thing," he says. "It's so much more than that!
"You go up near Northern Florida or Central Florida and the Pan Handle, and there’s a lot of farming. I think its one of the biggest cattle producers in the United States compared to Texas or Kansas or any of those states," he explains, adding that he is from a f arming background himself. "My grandfather had a small cattle farm and I grew up showing cattle. My other grandpa, he made his living as well through farming."

Fans of the iconic Oak Ridge Boys have been requesting a live album of hits for quite some years now, but as the band explained, "For some reason or another, the time never seemed right.”
However, that's all changed: In early 2013, the band was able to get its hands on some top quality remote recording equipment, and promptly began capturing performances of their current show (dubbed “Boys Night Out"). The result is a brand-new live album of the same name, comprising 14 of the Oaks' greatest hits and bringing the thrilling stage experience home for their loyal fanbase.
Yahoo Music is excited to offer a first listen to one of the most beloved classics included on the set, none other than the song that the Oaks are perhaps most famous for: "Elvira."
As bass singer Richard Sterban explains of the hit: "We’d had 10 Number One records when we went back into the studio for what would become our 'Fancy Free' project. All of the songs were selected, and the session was set for the first two weeks of January 1981, since the month after Christmas was, typically, a downtime for the Oak Ridge Boys."

There are many landmark moments in David J's musical career, which purveyors of the seminal goth scene will well know: He is of course one of the founding members of iconic quartet Bauhaus, continuing into trio Love And Rockets, and then into a solo direction comprising an impressive number of albums and single releases.
However, there's one thing he hasn't done yet: Namely, cover a Britney Spears song. That's all taken care of, however, on J's latest album, "An Eclipse of Ships," released Tuesday and including Spears's "Toxic" as a bonus track. Yahoo Music is excited to offer the first look at the video for this cover, which features cult fave actress Sasha Grey in an unforgettably poisonous role.
As J explains in this exclusive intro to his new video, his take on the Spears song was to make it "super sleazy" and "wounded." He also describes Grey as a "succubus-like predatory super-villainess...I am somewhat ambivalent quarry!"
Now, tell us you can't resist checking it out.

Believe it or not, summertime is fast on its way. If you're hankering early for parties, beaches, and pools, and looking for your special summer anthem to get you in the mood, here's a new video that might just do the trick.
Southern California-based rapper T. Mills released the super-catchy "All I Wanna Do" earlier this year off his EP of the same name, and is slated to release his major-label debut full length later this year. As you'll soon realize from the video, the 25-year-old's fun ode to drinking and having a good time (and a sunny beach!) is the perfect element to get the party started as the temps heat up. Aw yeah!
Want to party with T. Mills in person? He's currently playing select dates on the West Coast, and you can keep up with his latest schedule here.

When the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awardswere held in Las Vegas last weekend, plenty of stars were looking good on the red carpet — but it was newcomer Frankie Ballard who made quite the splash, dressed to kill in a unique brightly embroidered suit that caught everyone's eye.
Turns out there's a long story behind the cool threads. Ballard's suit was created by legendary tailor Manuel. If the name doesn't sound familiar, rest assured — you’ve definitely seen his work. The 80-year-old designer, known as the “Rhinestone Rembrandt,” is responsible for some of the most iconic looks in music, from Elvis Presley’s over-the-top jumpsuits to the outfits that eventually led to Johnny Cash’s most famous nickname.

Although many bands label themselves "independent," few musical projects are as truly independent as Minnesota's Cloud Cult. Although offered record deals by major labels, the group has remained steadfastly on its own, releasing music through founder/lead singer Craig Minowa's own Earthology Records.
In addition to accolades for its tunes, Cloud Cult has also gained recognition for its eco-friendly practices, which include environmentally conscious manufacturing processes and models for zero net greenhouse gas production for touring bands.
The group is poised to release its 10th album and first-ever acoustic/live release, "Unplug," next week. We at Yahoo Music are pleased to offer the premiere of the video for "Breakfast With My Shadow" from the set.
Cloud Cult is currently on tour and playing dates through June. If you'd like to keep up with their schedule, check here to see when they're near your neck of the woods!

Not everything that comes out of Nashville necessarily has to be country. The city has long hosted a burgeoning music scene encompassing everything from rock to pop, with a host of bright talent emerging from virtually every genre.
One of the most recent shining examples of this is Wild Cub, an outfit that started out as a collaboration between film-scorer (and former New Yorker) Keegan DeWitt and multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Bullock. The pair put together a studio space in Bullock's Nashville house, expanded its lineup to a quintet, and set to work on what turned out to be an efficiently turned-out work of art."Youth," the group's debut, came out in January 2014 and wowed fans with its uplifting, '80s-inspired electro- and synth-pop tracklisting.
Wild Cub themselves are a little surprised at how fast the project has taken off. "We recorded the record, threw it up on Bandcamp, I registered it through Tunecore, and we were like 'well, it exists now!" DeWitt told Yahoo Music during their visit to the 2014 South by Southwest festival. "It's just been like the last six to nine months that it's really transformed."

David Nail has been setting Nashville on fire with his latest set, "I'm a Fire," which debuted last month and hit No. 3 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. The country star has made waves with initial singles "Whatever She's Got" and "Kiss You Tonight," but we at Yahoo Music are especially fond of his passionate tune "Burnin' Bed."
That said, we're excited to offer the first look at an exclusive acoustic version of this song, which boasts a hotshot pedigree (country it-girl Brandy Clark is one of the songwriters). Let us know what you think of this new and different take on the tune.
Nail is currently on tour through the spring and summer: You can keep up with his schedule here.
