He didn't, but we've still featured him multiple times in this very blog. When we last saw Dave -- four months ago, to the minute -- we reported he was on his way to Chile to serve a Mormon mission in that South American land. We didn't think we'd see him back here for a couple of years, but this week's vid is a Vevo debut!
So maybe that mission didn't work out. Or the Chilean folks told David to get lost in their language, Chilean. Or maybe Chile simply vanished from the face of the Earth, opening up some sweet Argentinean ocean views.
Whatever. We just don't know! What we do know is this: David's back in the biggest of ways with his new song, "Don't Run Away." The video is simply killer, and very reminiscent of the glory days of A-Ha, because it's just a bunch of drawings.
Yes, it's Good News Week all around, readers. If you read only one blog this week, it should be Framed, because this week's captions are super-good and super-funny. We'll probably try to write another good blog next week, too. Or maybe we'll just kick back and take the week off.
Because nothing matters! God bless!
1 -- The Moving Hand writes; and, having writ, moves on, and is used for... well, hell, you know what it's used for, right? It's your hand.
2 -- Jim The Bird has always wanted to be in a sketch! Do you get it?
3 -- David, are you feeling OK? You look rather drawn. Bada-boom!
4 -- "Sob! David says I'm too two-dimensional for him!"
5 -- "If I get them to draw my head too big, would that help?"
6 -- "Those dashed lines of pure graphite look like trouble!"
7 -- "It must be the Paper World Apocalypse, as foretold by the Paper World Bible!"
8 -- "What's that, down there, outside of my world's boundaries? Oh, yeah. Nothing."
9 -- "You hold the cartoon drugs." "No, you hold the cartoon drugs!"
10 -- "I don't wanna say what I have to do, but I have to do it like a race horse!"
11 -- Eventually, the Mormons decided to reassess their definition of "leggy."
12 -- "...and when you ask to be in Framed, they always say they'll try to pencil you in."
