The Cure, Framed

Framed

Welcome back to Framed, everyone. It is here--and only here!--that your deep-seated interest in popular music will be treated with all the respect it deserves.

This week, we're very happy to be featuring a video by the Cure, one of the really great bands out of the 1980s. We've got "End of the World," their 2004 video, and, believe us, it's a pip. It's loaded with stop motion animation and, as art, is right up there with Gumby and TV's "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town." You're sure to find it, and our captions, pretty good.

The Cure, who've released 13 studio albums over the years, are fronted by vocalist Robert Smith, who is also the star of this week's video. Everyone enjoys his artfully-applied make-up and upbeat attitude, and both are fully on display here. So pull up a chair and dig the Cure, then come back next week for even more crazy good fun!
