Staple songs from classic animated Disney films have beeninterpreted by reggae superstars Toots, of Toots & The Maytals, ZiggyMarley, Cedella Marley, Burning Spear, Yellowman, UB40, and Matisyahu for thealbum The Disney Reggae Clubscheduled for a June 8 release.

The songs have been selected from various Disney films. Threetitles, "Circle Of Life," "Can You Feel The Love Tonight," and "The Lion SleepsTonight," originally appear on the soundtrack for The Lion King. Hasidic rapper Matisyahu, Cedella Marley, daughterthe legendary Bob Marley, and Morgan Heritage, respectively, perform the newversions.

Two picks from TheJungle Book are reprised for the album-"The Bare Necessities" by SteelPulse and "I Wan'na Be Like you" by UB40.

There are also selections from Mulan, Toy Story, Song Of The South, The Aristocats, The LittleMermaid, and Cars.

Executive Producer Brian Malouf said the timeless songs arestrong enough to conform to every genre. "Reggae is so joyous and spirited," hesaid. "We knew these songs would lend themselves perfectly. I'm happy to saythe artists, many of them true legends of reggae, all jumped at the chance toparticipate."
