Weatherman Gives Forecast Using Taylor Swift Lyrics
These days, you can’t even watch the weather without getting a dose of Taylor Swift.
Washington, D.C. weatherman Mike Thomas gave last night’s forecast using Taylor Swift lyrics, kicking it off with the break-up hit “I Knew You Were Trouble." Except instead of a jaded ex, he was taking about some rain clouds.
Thomas's clever forecast doubled as a little bit of promotion for Swift’s concert last night at Nationals Park, and the viral video eventually reached the singer, who tweeted: “never change, Mike the weather man. Never change.”
The bit continued with Thomas putting his spin on "Shake It Off" and “Blank Space," wondering out loud if the concert would “go down in flames" (due to the weather, of course).
Maybe not the best prediction for a sold-out show, but last night, Swift did experience a brief stage malfunction due to the rain, leaving her stranded in the audience.
On the upside, Swift did bring out Lorde as a special guest to sing her song “Royals."
