Zayn Takes Solo Career in Different Direction

Depending on your age and gender, Zayn quitting One Direction might be something you couldn’t care less about or, it's like, the worst news ever.

Even worse, it looks like he's already moved on. Yesterday, producer Naughty Boy shared a demo featuring the ex-boy bander called "I Won’t Mind." And unlike the massive stadium anthems of 1D, Zayn's first solo song is going in a different direction.

The song has since been taken off Naughty Boy's SoundCloud page, but his work with Zayn was enough to anger one member of One Direction, Louie Tomlinson, who called the producer "inconsiderate," and told him "grow up."

Obviously, this sort of beef got One Direction’s rabid fanbase pretty worked up, and after receiving probably thousands of hateful tweets, Naughty Boy replied, saying:

Namaste, Naughty Boy, Namaste. The producer also hashtagged Zayn's demo "2016," hinting that there’s more to come from the two.

And tonight, check out Secondhand Serenade performing on Yahoo Live. The show starts at 6:15 p.m. PT.
