The Hamann Mystère hits Geneva via Las Vegas

The Hamann Mystère, a pink chrome-wrapped and bewinged version of the Range Rover hanging out at the Geneva Motor Show, offers as good an opportunity as any to point out that Orson Welles was wrong when he blamed the Swiss for building cuckoo clocks in "The Third Man." It was the Germans who came up with the idea of taking a normal clock and making it as gaudy and annoying as possible. And they say no one in Europe has any money to spend on cars; the real Mystère is why they have so much.
