There's taking a photo on a ledge … and then there's this.

One Direction's Liam Payne, 20, is enduring the wrath of the Internet Saturday after tweeting support for "Duck Dynasty" patriarch Willie Robertson, the son of Phil Robertson, who was temporarily suspended from the hit A&E reality show for homophobic remarks.

Given the firestorm that was created last month when the elder Robertson made his controversial remarks, Liam's fans immediately took issue with his tweet. Wisely, he responded quickly:

Well, we guess that's a relief. Still, his reference to "family values" points to the buzz words frequently used when speaking out against homosexuality. And people are quick to remind him of this, including One Direction's well-known supporter, Tyler Oakley.

And he wasn't the only one:

This drama caps off a rough week for One Direction, which included Liam causing a stir for posting a photo of himself on the edge of a rooftop.

Unfortunately, Saturday was filled with news of homophobic remarks after "The Bachelor" star Juan Pablo Galavis referred to gay people as "more pervert in a sense" and said a homosexual or bisexual season of his show would be "too hard for TV."
