Queenie Eye, evidently, is a game that Paul and his childhood Liverpudlian friends played. Thus, the song's lyrics aren't tremendously sophisticated:
Queenie eye queenie eye, who's got the ball?
I haven't got it, it isn't in my pocket
O-U-T spells out
Yes, O-U-T does spell out. Well done, Sir Paul.
The song may be an enjoyable trifle, but the video is something else. A Who's Who of celebrities join Macca in the studio -- he seems oblivious to them, by the way -- and what a list it is! Heck, let's name some: Johnny Depp, Kate Moss, Jude Law, Chris Pine, Meryl Streep, Lily Cole, Sean Penn, Jeremy Irons, Tom Ford, Tracey Ullman ... and, yes, there's more. It's quite a scene.
It might actually be easier to list who isn't in the darn thing. Well, if anyone can draw celebs to their video shoot, we suppose it would be Paul McCartney. We invite you, the reader, to spot even more celebrities and enjoy our captions. As always, they're "gear!"
1 -- "You don't understand. I was in the Beatles!"
2 -- "So this is a C chord!"
3 -- "How many Beatles' songs I actually wrote all by myself?"
4 -- Once you get the hang of it, Duck Duck Goose generates laughter, fun.
5 -- "God so loves us that He'd sent us to Hell for all eternity? This is a surprise!"
6 -- "After the vid-yo, what say we get us a soda pop down to the fillin' station?"
7 -- Happily, the spray worked!
8 -- According to the missus, Paul continues to find himself "in times of trouble."
9 -- "You tell lies thinkin' I can't see! Hey, I can't see!"
10 -- Sigmund Freud was stunned to be raised from the dead, learn of fashionable, new "no smoking" areas.
11 -- Some were bummed when they learned the video had nothing to do with Haitian relief!
12 -- Celebrity umps in the World Series was the best new idea yet!
