Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, and Beyoncé breezed into the sweltering heat of Toronto this week, taking time to chill out before rocking out.
On Tuesday, Timberlake appeared for a photo op at the Bay in downtown Toronto with his childhood friend Trace Ayala. The duo promoted the fall collection of William Rast, the fashion label named after their grandfathers that they launched in 2005.
A day later, it was Beyoncé and Jay-Z's turn to paint the town red. The happy musical couple, along with their daughter Blue Ivy, dined at Cafe Nervosa in Yorkville on Wednesday afternoon. According to the Huffington Post, Beyoncé flew out of Toronto later that day to perform in Chicago on Wednesday night, while her hubby stuck around for his T.Dot show (don't worry -- Beyoncé will be back on Saturday for her gig).
On Wednesday night, Jay-Z and Timberlake united at the Rogers Center for their Legends of the Summer concert, which marks the start of their North American tour. The former drew from his new album, "Magna Carta Holy Grail," while the latter sang hits from his latest release, "The 20/20 Experience."
The most memorable moment had them dedicating their closing song, Jay-Z's 2010 hit "Young Forever," to the memory of slain Florida teenager Trayvon Martin. “This is for Mr. Trayvon Martin,” Jay-Z said, according to Canada.com.
The superstars also encouraged their fans (reportedly including Drake) to hold up their cell phones, creating a sort of digital constellation in the stadium.
