Patrick Stewart and LeVar Burton kiss at Toronto Comic-Con

Did you ever want to see Captain Jean-Luc Picard smooch Geordi La Forge? Well, this weekend, Patrick Stewart made it so.

The 72-year-old "Star Trek: The Next Generation" star engaged his former cast mate, Burton, in an epic kiss at Toronto Comic-Con over the weekend. The historic moment occurred as the cast of the "TNG" (which ran from 1987 to 1994) gathered for a 90-minute Q&A with Canadian fans at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Saturday.

At the time, Stewart was recalling "the biggest compliment" he had ever received, which was thanks to Burton.

"We were all doing our first bits of PR work, and I was being interviewed sitting on a director's chair and a camera and one of those networks there and feeling very uncomfortable and out of it," Stewart recalled. "The interview finished and before I could get out of the chair, there was LeVar standing alongside me and he said, 'cucumber soup.' And I said, 'I beg your pardon?' And he said, 'You were as cool as cucumber soup.'"

As Stewart finished telling his tale, Burton grabbed the captain's head and the duo engaged in a friendly full-lip kiss. They could then be seen mouthing the words, "I love you," to each other. According to the Huffington Post, Stewart also kissed Gates McFadden (who played Dr. Beverly Crusher) and Martina Sirtis (aka Deanna Troi) during the event.

In an interview last week with Toronto's The Grid, Burton revealed that the "Star Trek" cast is still close almost 20 years after the series ended.

“We love being together. We make each other laugh, and that’s never going to change," the 56-year-old star said. "No matter how many years away from the work that we get, we will always be family.”
