'Achy Breaky Heart' is Reborn as a Hard-Twerkin' Rap Tune

Our Country

"Achy Breaky Heart" is one hard-working tune. Or, shall we say, one hard-twerking tune. Billy Ray Cyrus's 1992 novelty hit -- which, despite irritating millions, still made him world-famous -- has finally been redone and polished up for the 21st century...as a hip-hop song.

Don't tell my heart! I just don't think it'd understand! But, oh yes, it's true. A video for the song, renamed "Achy Breaky 2," has just been released by rapper Buck 22, who recruited the country star for the project.

Apparently, the two musicians met while working on a 50th anniversary album for Buck 22's mom -- the legendary R&B singer Dionne Warwick -- and decided it would be fun to put a rap-slash-EDM spin on the line-dancing classic. The result is sonically trippy, as is the video, which features half-naked twerking ladies that make Billy Ray's famously naughty daughter Miley Cyrus look like a Catholic schoolgirl. (There's also a wild spaceship theme, and an intro by Larry King, but let's get real about what you're probably going to be paying most attention to, right?)

If you need a refresher on the classic, here it is. In the meantime, we can't wait for the revised version of "I Want My Mullet Back." Oh, wait -- y'know, maybe we can.
