  • Saddle Up Cowboys: ACM Awards Move to Texas in 2015

    For just over a decade, Las Vegas has "gone country" annually as host to the Academy of Country Music Awards -- and it's been a fine ride so far, as evidenced by Sunday night's talent-packed show. However, for the Awards' 50th anniversary in 2015, things are going to change. The ACMs will be moving to Arlington, Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys.

    The show will be held at AT&T Stadium, where the Cowboys play (and, where the King of Country himself, George Strait, will be closing out his final Cowboy Rides Away tour). The famed football franchise's owner, Jerry Jones, was on hand at the ACM Awards Sunday to show his support and enthusiasm for the move--and also catch a little good-natured ribbing from show hosts Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, who poked fun at the Cowboys', um, not-so-stellar record of late.
