Kenny Chesney Joined On Stage By Famous Football And Movie-Star Pals

Kenny Chesney is--as all his fans know--a huge football-lover, and the football world seems to love him right back. It's always fun to see who's the latest gridiron star Chesney is hanging out with. This weekend, it was Super Bowl XLIV MVP Drew Brees, who joined Chesney on stage Saturday night at the House of Blues in New Orleans.

Chesney was performing as part of the 3rd Annual "Amazing Race" Charity Event, which is a signature event of Drew Brees's charitable Dream Foundation. This year, Brees's organization partnered with Matthew McConaughey's Just Keep Livin Foundation--and the star actor showed up on stage with Chesney as well! The trio united for the audience during Chesney's encore performance of football anthem "The Boys Of Fall."

"Kenny has been a dear friend and always expressed interest in working with the foundation. This is such a wonderful way to end the race and his support means the world to us," said Brees and McConaughey in a statement.

Chesney, who is currently in rehearsals for his upcoming Brothers of the Sun tour with Tim McGraw, noted that it felt good to get in front of a live audience for a change of pace. "It was great for us to get on stage and feel the energy and feedback from the crowd," he said. "Tonight was all about playing music to help celebrate this great event. People in this town love music and helping out their neighbor and I was glad to be a part of it."

The "Amazing Race" event provides after-school fitness and wellness programs in the New Orleans area. All proceeds from the event will benefit Brees's and McConaughey's charities; as well as go towards providing care, education and opportunities for children and families in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast.

Chesney will hit the road with McGraw starting June 2. You can keep up with his schedule here.
