Miranda Lambert at 2013 CMAs
"Though I NEVER care what the tabloids have to say about me… I wanted to address this certain story they are running this week and set the record straight. I DID NOT have surgery to lose weight," Lambert said. "That is ridiculous. I lost my weight the healthy and good old fashioned way. Watching what I eat and working out with my trainer Bill Crutchfield. As for the assumed number of pounds lost…? I don’t even know! Like I have always said, it’s not about a scale, it’s about how you feel and how your jeans fit."
Lambert, who has been held up as a role model for women with curvier figures, seemed to note that she still considers herself to be in an average weight range, and it doesn't sound like she'll be concerned if she happens to regain a few pounds. "I am proud to be a normal size girl," she asserted. "I want to encourage everyone to be confident at any size. Thanks for the support yall!"
Lambert earlier credited her looming 30th birthday (which she celebrated on Nov. 10) as a catalyst to get her diet and fitness regime in gear.
Although some tabloid gossip suggested Lambert lost weight to keep her husband, "Voice" coach Blake Shelton, interested — Shelton has been vocally supportive of Lambert at various weights, most recently tweeting "My wife is so hot it's ridiculous."
