Sunny Sweeney Gives Exclusive Performance Of Latest Single

Our Country

Texas beauty Sunny Sweeney first made her move on the Nashville scene in 2007, with the release of her debut album Heartbreaker's Hall Of Fame. The record, which spawned three singles, was noted by fans and critics alike for its honky-tonk, traditional edge--hey, after all...the girl has the title of a Merle Haggard tune tattooed on her wrist, and her voice has been compared to Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks. However, none of the songs hit the charts.

Sweeney rapidly set to work changing this, however, with her follow-up collection. Debut single "From A Table Away" hit the top 10 country singles chart, and her newest song, "Staying's Worse Than Leaving" is currently climbing and winning new admirers along the way.

Sweeney's sophomore album, Concrete, is set for release on Tuesday, August 23. If you're already a fan of Sweeney's honest, authentic vocals, here's an exclusive performance of "Staying's Worse Than Leaving" she put together just for Yahoo! Music that will make you love her even more. If you're just getting to know her, this is a great introduction to her new material. Enjoy, and don't forget to tell me what you think!
