Reality RocksAmerican Idol, The Day After: Season 11 Premiere Dish
Last night was the big "American Idol" Season 11 premiere in the city of Savannah, and while the ratings weren't quite as stellar as they were for last season's premiere (a phenomenon I attribute to talent-competition fatigue in this "Voice"/"X Factor"/"AGT"-saturated age, and to the fact that Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler are no longer new and exciting), it's still pretty clear that the "Idol" formula works, and that this show ain't going nowhere anytime soon.
And neither are we! Yes, my usual "Day After" co-host Matt Whitfield and I are back on the big purple couch to discuss last night's standout auditioners, and hard as it it to believe after 10-and-counting seasons, we're still excited.
