Last night on "American Idol," Angie Miller went home in third place--a major upset, since she'd never been in the bottom two or three before, and many pundits (including me and my "The Day After" co-host, Matt Whitfield) thought she had a very good chance of winning the entire competition. Judging from how crestfallen the normally confident Angie seemed upon hearing the news, I don't think she saw this coming, either.
But there was more "Idol" drama yesterday. Randy Jackson confirmed that he's quitting the show after Season 12, an announcement made amid rumors that he (along with his fellow judges) would have been fired anyway. Today, Matt and I talk about last night's results, Randy's resignation, and next week's finale, in a very action-packed "The Day After." Let's discuss!
