Last month, British pop starlet and "X Factor U.K." judge Cheryl Cole was shockingly and unceremoniously booted from her short-lived "X Factor USA" judging job. (She was swiftly replaced by Nicole Scherzinger, who'd originally been hired to co-host the show alongside English TV presenter Steve Jones.) The rumored reasons for Cheryl's sudden exit ranged from friction between her and Paula Abdul, to her thick Geordie accent alienating U.S. audiences, to an overall lack of chemistry between Cheryl and the other judges, to just her homesickness getting the better of her.

But now, Cheryl is going on record about the whole debacle...although many questions remain unanswered.

In a recent blog post by Cheryl titled "A Message From Cheryl To Her Soldiers," she writes: "I have had the weirdest past few weeks....I wouldn't even know how to begin to tell you all about it. What I do know for certain is that I have the BEST, most unbelievable people out there, who I feel so lucky to call my support system. You never fail to amaze me. I have been reading your letters and opening my prezzies (I feel very spoilt) and hearing all of your kind, special and inspiring things you want to say to me."

She added, sweetly: "It breaks my heart a little when i hear that some of you worry about me and need to know that I am ok, so I want to PROMISE you that I am absolutely fine and more than ok!"

Although Cheryl failed to address gossip about her alleged battle with Simon Cowell, the real reason she was let go, or whether or not she'll join the cast of the U.K. version of "The Voice," it's likely that her devoted soldiers were still relieved that she broke her silence in some way.

Watch this space for developing details on Cheryl's post-"X Factor" career...
