Exclusive: Watch Michael Woodard’s ‘Majors & Minors’ Winning Moment

Sunday night on the Season 1 finale of The Hub's underage talent competition, "Majors & Minors," Philadelphia 13-year-old Michael Woodard was crowned the first "M&M" winner, walking away with a Boardwalk/RCA Records contract. After watching teenager after teenager have their dreams crushed to bits on last month's "The X Factor," the warm and fuzzy vibes of the kinder, gentler "Majors & Minors" (a show on which no one was ever voted off) was a change of pace indeed.

After winning, young Michael declared: "I will remember this experience for the rest of my life and the people that I've met along the way. It was amazing to work with all of my mentors and, of course, share this time with the 'Majors & Minors' cast. I know this is just the beginning of what I hope will be a great career because of my strong love for music. I'm very excited for my future."

During the course of the "M&M" season, Michael and his castmates were mentored by the likes of Brandy, Adam Lambert, Leona Lewis, Jennifer Hudson, will.i.am, Avril Lavigne, Jordin Sparks, Mike Posner, Colbie Caillat, Sean Kingston, Ryan Tedder, Claude Kelly, and "American Idol" vocal coach Debra Byrd, and I am sure they all learned a lot along the way. Congrats to Michael and the entire "M&M" cast!
